Residential Treatment for Women

The Heights Capitol

How We Can Help

Addiction is complex. The issue isn’t solely the abuse of alcohol, prescription pills, or illegal drugs. That’s why simply abstaining from these things only addresses part of the problem.

Nearly eight million adults in the US “experience both a mental disorder and substance abuse disorder simultaneously.” Referred to as a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder, research indicates that alcohol and drugs only make the symptoms of mental illness worse.

The Heights offers integrated treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues, as well as trauma recovery. That’s because clients who receive treatment from programs offering the co-occurring treatment model experience some of the most effective results.

Our programs offer clinical, psychological, and educational services for the following conditions and addictions:

  • Alcohol
  • Methamphetamine
  • Heroin
  • Over the counter medications
  • Prescription medications
  • Gambling
  • Mental health issues
